Implementation Projects

McCarthy Media Group has been involved in two large-scale implementation projects, keeping employees informed about the consolidation of office space for two major federal departments: the Department of Justice Implementation Project (1996/97) and Passport Canada (2003/2004).

The Department of Justice Implementation Project involved coordinating the move of 1,300 employees working in the National Capital Region to its new Justice Headquarters on Wellington Street in downtown Ottawa. Passport Canada moved 700 employees from five locations in Ottawa and the Outaouais to a brand new building at 70 Crémazie in the Hull sector of Gatineau, Quebec.

McCarthy Media Group supported internal communications and facilities management staff to create and help deliver a comprehensive communications strategy. These successful strategies ensured that employees of both departments had the information they needed for a smooth transition to their new office space.

“Your excellent research skills, your attention to detail, your capacity to balance a myriad of tasks and to run with them and your ability to “sound out the audience” have led to the delivery of a variety of successful projects.” -- Bea Hertz, Director, National Accommodations and OHS Department of Justice
